I had played some ridiculous shots this season and the reason for my frequent dismissals had been in only four different ways from among so many of them. Below is the list of all the ten ways by which you can get dismissed and I will describe them to you one by one.
1.Bowled: First the method of being dismissed is when the Cricket ball is bowled and it hits and breaks the batsman's wicket.
2.Caught: When a fielder catches a hit in the air from the batsman and in turn the bowler wins a wicket.
3. Run out: A player can be run out if the ball, having been thrown by any fielder, directly hits the wicket before the batsman reaches the popping crease while the ball is in play.
4. Stumped: If batsman steps out of the crease without hitting the ball and wicket keeper remove the bails he is out stumped.
5. LBW: Leg-before-wicket is when a batsman can be called out if any part of his body, clothing or equipment (other than a bat) intercepts a ball that would have hit the wicket, providing the ball pitched, in a straight line between the wicket, even above the bails.
6. Hit Wicket: A batsman can be out if he the knocks the bails from his own wicket with his bat or body while playing a shot or setting off for the first run.
7. Double Hit: A batsman is out if he hits the Cricket ball a couple of times at one delivery, except in defence of his wicket, after it has been struck or stopped by any part of his body.
8. Handled the ball: Batsman cannot touch a ball with this hand while it is in play. They can use their bat to deflect it, but not through hands or else they will be out.
9. Obstructing the fielder: Any batsman is out if he gets in the way of the opposite side by word or action to save him from run out or catch.
10. Timed out: When a batsman is dismissed, the next batsman should come and take strike within the 3 minutes; otherwise he will be timed out.
